EdD in Health Professions Education Leadership

Up to 36 credits in entry-level/advanced courses in a combination of health professions and education courses – must include a course on diversity and EDU497 (NOTE. Often these credits are transferred from previous graduate degrees.)

Choose either the three 1-credit courses or their “bundled” 3-credit version (ED533) Choose two additional research methods courses for a total of 6 credits; eligible courses include.

Select at least two courses to develop depth in your area of specialization – see Note 1 for some options.

Choose a combination of ED593. Ed.D. Research (Dissertation) (at least 9 credits recommended) PLUS EITHER the three HPE Dissertation Seminars (ED547; ED548; ED549) for students choosing the accelerated option OR other advanced research methods courses and/or ED591. Independent Study for students choosing the traditional option.

Choose electives as needed to reach the minimum requirement of a total of 90 credits
