Recent Publications
Silvia Sörensen, associate professor of counseling and human development, coauthored the article “Lasting Impact: A Co-Led Community-Academic Model for a Sustainable Community-Based Participatory Research Training Program,” published in the Journal of Public Health Research.
Jeffrey Choppin, professor of teaching & curriculum, coauthored the article “What is Ambitious (Mathematics) Teaching? Clarifying a Key Concept in Education Research and Practice,” published in the Journal of Education.
Michael Daley, associate professor of education, and Cathy Cerosaletti, associate director of program evaluation, published their research on STEM teacher persistence in School Science and Mathematics. The article, “Preparation for Persistence: Exploring the Relationship Between Science and Mathematics Teacher Preparation and Persistence in Under-Resourced Schools,” identifies perceptions of preparation as a predictor of persistence.
Claire Boeck, assistant professor of educational leadership, authored the article “Power and Good Student Discourse: Perpetuating Narratives of Effort, Natural Ability, and Academic Success in First-Year Courses,” published in Teaching in Higher Education.
