WATCH: Lessons learned from revamping East's curricula

This video showcases the transformative journey of curriculum re-development at the East EPO (Educational Partnership Organization) in collaboration with the University of Rochester.

Since its inception in 2015, the East EPO embarked on a groundbreaking initiative to overhaul its entire school curricula. At the onset, the school lacked a coherent and well-articulated curricular framework. It became evident that for East to thrive, a clear curricular roadmap was essential. Research underscores the importance of consistent curricular expectations for achieving success, particularly in schools with transient staff and scholar populations. This endeavor sought to empower teachers to tailor their curricula to the specific needs and interests of East’s scholars, thereby fostering relevance, rigor and engagement in their academic journey.

East administrators, teachers and scholars share their invaluable insights and experiences. Additionally, you’ll witness innovative teaching methods in action as East educators implement the newly crafted curricula in the classroom.
