Creating a ripple effect

Your work at Warner is reaching further than you know.

Dear students,

Every semester, I’m struck by how far the work of our school community reaches. A lesson you design, a question you pursue through research, or a conversation you have with a client or peers rarely stays where it begins. Each creates a ripple that extends to the students you teach, the families you support, and the communities you will serve long after your time at Warner.

As we move through the final weeks of the fall semester, I want to pause and recognize the effort behind that impact. Balancing graduate coursework and research with jobs, family, and other responsibilities is no small feat. I’m grateful for the energy, care, and curiosity you bring to Warner every day and for the many ways you put your learning into action.

This fall, that ripple effect has been visible across Warner. We welcomed our fourth cohort of Fulbright Teachers to Rochester, launched a new partnership with RIT to lead national research focused on improving STEM student success, and released a new Ever Wonder video exploring four common myths about what it means to be a good student. These are just a few of the many examples of how the work happening at Warner is sparking ideas, building partnerships, and making an impact beyond our campus.

As the year winds down, I hope you’ll make time to recharge, celebrate your accomplishments, and look ahead to the opportunities that await. Whatever comes next—a new semester, a new role, or a new idea—know that you are part of a community that believes in you and looks forward to seeing where your work leads.
