Biography

Zenon Borys is the assistant director of Center for Learning in the Digital Age (LiDA) and the director of secondary mathematics teacher preparation. After teaching secondary mathematics in New York City, he applied for his doctorate at Warner. He began teaching at Warner in 2014 and became a faculty member in 2018. At Warner, Borys teaches classes in teaching secondary mathematics methods, teaching mathematics with technology, and integrating technology with teaching practice. He also facilitates professional development for teaching with technology and supervises secondary mathematics teachers’ clinical experiences.

His research interests focus on the influence technology has on teaching. Specifically, Borys considers the relationship between the tools and resources teachers use for instruction and how the teachers shape and transform the tools they use influence student learning experiences.
