Unleash your creativity, discover your inner writer

If you love to write or want to improve your writing, the Young Writers Summer Camp at the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester is just for you.

In the one-week program, you’ll practice different kinds of writing with other students who love to write. You’ll learn from writing teachers who will use fun writing activities, as well as individual and group instruction, to help you improve your skills and discover new types of writing to enjoy.


August 1-5, 2022
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For grades 6-12
Hosted at the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester


Cost: $325
Includes $25 nonrefundable application fee (applied toward tuition)
Deadline for Application is July 15


A 10% discount applies for children and grandchildren of University of Rochester employees and alumni, siblings of current students, and families with more than one child attending the camp.

COVID-19 safety

The University has provided summer camp COVID-19 safety guidelines for attendees. As part of the guidance, you can reference vaccine requirements and more. All campers must be fully vaccinated with two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination 21 days (July 11, 2022) prior to the start of camp.
