To Semester Ending, New Beginnings – and Free Appetizers

The semester is ending at Warner, the new semester promises fresh starts and another step closer to your goals, and kicking back for an hour or two is exactly what the doctor ordered (MD, PhD, or EdD!).

To celebrate this time of year and enable faculty, staff and students to come together so that we can share as a community, a special Warner event has been organized for Sunday, December 12 from 5-7pm at Virtu Restaurant. Virtu has graciously offered FREE appetizers for a special Warner happy hour (they don’t do happy hours in weekends normally).

The event is casual and open ended, so you can come solo, bring family or friends, or better still, organize a group of your fellow students for guaranteed company! Maybe your perfect plan is to get a few hours in the library, den, or wherever you work on your papers, projects, journal submissions, and then head down and across the Genesee to Corn Hill for well-earned study break.

At Virtu you can talk school, politics, what you will be doing on break different from the last 15 weeks, watch football, eat, have a beverage in a totally responsible way, and meet other friends. For those interested in a beverage, Virtu will be offering:

$4 mixed well drinks
$3 beers
$7 select martinis
Wine prices vary

Virtu is across from the Corn Hill neighborhood in Corn Hill Landing, overlooking the winter river scenery. It is easy to find and 284 Exchange Street and is easy to get to (http://virturestaurant.com/).

Everyone is responsible for their own drinks or any other food.
