How does the Rochester Community focus its efforts to assist students with intellectual and developmental disabilities launch from school into work and adult life? In 2008 in partnership with the University of Rochester's Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities and the Warner School of Education, the Golisano Foundation funded the Institute for Innovative Transition to address this community need. Dr. Mock will discuss two of the innovative initiatives that involve local businesses and colleges and universities. Also, learn how the Institute has grown from an initial grant of $600,000 to a total of $4.3 million in grants.
