Get Real! Science Action Camp Final Presentations

August 1, 2008
10 a.m. to Noon
University of Rochester’s River Campus
Hubbell Auditorium and the atrium of Hutchison Hall

Thirty one middle school students, from The Harley School’s Horizons Student Enrichment Program and the Carlson MetroCenter YMCA, will ‘get real’ about the science of Rochester beach closings as they target water quality as part of the Warner School’s 2009 Get Real! Science Action Camp. Under the supervision of Warner graduate students, these budding scientists will investigate and test the water at Ontario Beach Park and then create multimedia presentations so that they can share their findings with guests and community leaders at the Camp’s final session, August 1.

During their final presentations, students will present their findings about the water quality to the community and share recommendations for improving the current beach conditions.

The event is free and open to the public.
