Carol St. GeorgeLiteracy is the foundation of all learning and is a component of every aspect of our lives. Therefore, it follows that literacy is life changing and that access to good quality literacy instruction is an issue of equity. Project Read is a long-standing, successful Warner program designed with two goals in mind: to support RCSD students’ literacy learning, and to help prepare exceptional literacy educators. Professor Carol St. George and Warner graduate students will discuss the history of Project Read, modifications and changes to the program over time, and the local and global impact of this reciprocal community engagement program.
