Writing Workshop: Editing and Peer Reviewing Your Own and Others’ Writing

Saturday, March 12, 2022
10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
LeChase 481 (Workshop will also be accessible via Zoom)

Editing is a central practice in academic writing. This workshop offers strategies for improving the clarity and cohesion of academic texts, including using metalanguage to signal the relationship of ideas; identifying unclear and unsupported claims; eliminating digressions; and reducing wordiness. To get the most out of this workshop, have a copy of your own work available.

Workshops are accessible via Zoom. To join any workshop remotely, please follow this link: https://rochester.zoom.us/my/warnerwritingsupport.

Workshops are free and open to all members of the university. Preregistration is not required. For any accommodation needs, please contact Mary Judge Diegert at (585) 275-2454 or email at Mjudge@warner.rochester.edu. For information on free, one-on-one writing consulting, go to: https://www.warner.rochester.edu/students/academics/writing/.
