Presenters: Jeffrey Choppin, Cynthia Callard, and Cynthia Carson

This talk focuses on work on a project in which Jeffrey Choppin, Cynthia Callard, and Cynthia Carson conducted video-based coaching cycles with mathematics teachers from rural schools. The video-based coaching cycles involved collaboratively planning a lesson via Zoom, videorecording the lesson taught by the teacher, annotating the lesson video asynchronously, and then collaboratively reflecting on the lesson via Zoom. This talk will focus on analysis of the planning meeting, the enacted lesson, and the reflection meeting, with the goal of unpacking the emergent dynamics between the coach and teacher across four cycles of coaching. The implications of this work relate to online professional coaching in education and other disciplines.
