Saturday, October 23, 2004

Warner faculty, staff, students, and alumni participating in the Warner Day of Service should meet at 9 a.m. in Dewey Hall Room 1-305 to pick up t-shirts and group assignments for the day.

Participants in the Warner Day of Service will work with the following organizations:

  • The ABW (Alternatives for Battered Women)-a safe and supportive facility for battered women.
  • The Rochester Boys and Girls Club-providing a safe, positive place for all Rochester youth where there is daily, free access to recreational, art, educational, social skills and character building opportunities.
  • Foodlink-committed to combating hunger.
  • The House of Mercy-a shelter open to anyone in need.
  • Lifespan-dedicated to providing information, guidance and services that help older adults take on both the challenges and opportunities of the second half of life.

Groups will carpool to locations and return to the Warner School around noon to share their experiences over pizza (provided).

Please email us at wgsa_1@yahoo.com by October 19 if you are planning to participate. Include in your email the following: first and last name, email address, phone number, program of study (if current student) and your choice of service locations in the order of your preference.
