Kristin Hocker is an assistant professor of clinical nursing, co-specialty director of the Health Care Organization Management and Leadership (HCM) program, and the School of Nursing’s deputy Title IX coordinator, undertaking responsibility for the prompt and fair handling of sex-based harassment or misconduct complaints.

Before joining the School of Nursing full time in 2019, she spent the previous 13 years as an organizational development specialist in the University of Rochester Department of Human Resources, where she coordinated the UR Safe Space program and facilitated workshops on implicit bias and micro aggressions, cultural humility, and other topics that address the concept of inclusion as practice. In addition, she taught part-time in the HCM program (where she continues to teach). She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the Warner School of Education, The College at Brockport, and MCC. She is also a part of the faculty team teaching leadership development to fellows in the UR LEND (Leadership Education for Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities) program.

Hocker earned a doctorate in higher education in 2015 from the Warner School, and received her bachelor’s degree in food service management and master’s in training and instructional design from Rochester Institute of Technology.
