Suicide Prevention Symposium: Mental Health in the Changing Higher Education Landscape

December 1-10, 2020

The New York State College Health Association (NYSCHA) is partnering with SUNY and the New York State Office of Mental Health to offer the virtual “Suicide Prevention Symposium: Mental Health in the Changing Higher Education Landscape” from December 1-10, 2020. The Symposium will include presentations, discussion groups, and networking sessions.

The goal of the Suicide Prevention Symposium is to enhance knowledge and skills regarding suicide prevention and mental health for the college population. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the factors that put students at higher risk of suicide as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and to discuss suicide prevention strategies that colleges and universities can take to enhance the well-being of college students. A grant through SUNY and the NYS Office of Mental Health will cover the registration fee for students.
