Joanne Larson on the Use of Sarcasm in the Classroom 

A recent study, led by Joanne Larson, Michael W. Scandling Professor of Education and associate director of research for the Center for Urban Education Success (CUES), and two teachers from East Upper School who also participated as research participants and coauthors, finds that sarcasm could support learning and build a positive rapport with students, including English as a New Language (ENL) students.
