Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Noon - 12:50 pm
Genrich-Rusling Room, LeChase 215

Engaging Older Adult Learners as Health Researchers (ENGOAL) is an education and training program on health research methods and geriatric health research for older adults. Our second cohort of ten older adults from Rochester, NY joined the program in October 2018. Over the last six months they have discovered the joy of learning and sharing their knowledge with their families and communities. They have worked on three mini-research proposals and will present their work and share their ideas. Please join us in supporting these emerging researchers!!

Our ENGOAL participants are supported by our leadership team: Silvia Sörensen and Joyce Duckles, Warner School of Education & Human Development; Sandhya Seshadri and Craig Sellers, the School of Nursing; Phyllis Jackson, Common Ground Health; Doreen Young, Beechwood Greenhouse Collaborative; and George Moses, Executive Director, NEAD.

This program has been funded by Eugene Washington Engagement Awards Program from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).

A light lunch will be served. Food will be available at 11:45 am. The program will begin promptly at noon.

No need to RSVP. For any accommodation needs please contact Mary Judge at (585) 275-2454 or email at Mjudge@warner.rochester.edu.
