Wednesday Lunch Hour - Learning in the Digital Age: Affordances and Implications for All Educators

Wednesday, September 26, 2018
Noon - 12:50 PM
Genrich-Rusling Room, LeChase 215

How are digital technologies affecting how we can access and process information, create and disseminate new knowledge, and collaborate with others?  What implications does this have for education in general, and our own work as educators more specifically?  In this interactive session, we’ll first share some video clips illustrating what “digitally-rich learning” may look like in different educational contexts, and then use these shared examples as a basis for discussion about how learning in the digital age may impact what we do in our own different fields and roles.  Information about how our new Center for Learning in the Digital Age will provide vehicles to continue this conversation will also be provided.

Presented by Raffaella Borasi, Dean, Frederica Warner Professor and Founding Director of the Center for Learning in the Digital Age at the Warner School of Education.

A light lunch of sandwiches and salads will be served. Food will be available at 11:45 am. The program will begin at noon.
