Humanities Center, Rhush Rhees Lirary

Join us for the second annual Breaking Boundaries with Video Games event, where we explore teaching, learning, design, and research surrounding video games and AR/VR. Warner projects on augmented reality in chemical engineering (STAR4STEMAR) by April Luehmann, associate professor, and HoloLens in Chiropractic Anatomy by doctoral student Paul Herbert will be featured.

There will be speakers from UR, RIT, Hobart & William Smith Colleges, and the Strong Museum of Play, as well as game developers from the Rochester community.  Attendees will have a chance to play newly created video games and interact with VR and AR environments. Demonstrations of some of the 300 games that the Art/Music Library has in its collection will be available. Come ready to collaborate and discuss the future of video game creation and scholarship in the Rochester area.

Arcade and reception with refreshments will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. on the third floor of Rettner Hall. Learn more at
