Hazing on College Campuses: A Discussion of Perspectives and Responses to Inform Research, Policy and Practice

Wednesday, December 6, 2017
Noon - 12:50 pm
Genrich-Rusling Room, 215 LeChase

Bryan Gopaul and Nate Harris (Higher Ed faculty members) will be facilitating a dialogue with fellow Warner School colleagues about the practice of student hazing on college campuses. Through the participation of panelists and discussion from the audience, we aim to illustrate the many perspectives that inform this practice that has a historical presence on college campuses and has received increased recent attention in various media outlets.  Further, we hope to discuss various strategies and approaches to support research, policy, and practice initiatives to acknowledge and productively address student hazing.

Panelists include Dr. Dena Swanson, Stephen Armstrong, Dr. Sasha Eloi, and John DiSarro.

A light lunch of sandwiches and salad will be served. Food will be available at 11:45 am. Program starts promptly at noon.
