Wednesday Lunch Hour - Digital Conversion in K-12: What are K-12 Schools Up To in the Digital Era?

Wednesday, November 29, 2017
Noon - 12:50 pm
Genrich-Rusling Room, LeChase 215

We will explore some of the latest trends in K-12 education, where an increasing number of school districts are purchasing tablets or laptops for their students to engage with in the classroom, along with an expanding list of digital tools and resources. This kind of integration, along with the transformation of teaching and other practices it calls for, is often referred to a "digital conversion".

This presentation by David Miller, Assistant Professor in the Center for Professional Development & Education Reform, is a great opportunity to learn more about what is happening in schools in the digital era and also for students and professionals interested in learning more about Warner's outreach work and graduate programs in Digitally-Rich Teaching in K-12 Schools.

A light lunch will be served. Food will be available at 11:45 am. The program will begin promptly at noon
