University of Rochester's River Campus

Horizons at Warner at the University of Rochester invites you to help celebrate Rochester’s rich history and to support 150 city school students who will be walking in the Horizons at Warner Parade along River Campus at noon on Wednesday, August 16. Parade watchers will have an opportunity to see the 16 floats, created by Horizons students themselves, depicting Rochester’s local history. The parade will begin on the sidewalk in front of Todd Union and will travel south along Wilson Boulevard toward Wallis Hall, left onto Hutchison Road, behind the Simon School, and ending on the lower quad.

Horizons at Warner is a six-week summer enrichment program that engages K-8 Rochester City School District students in meaningful learning experiences on River Campus. This year’s theme is “Rochester’s history.” A museum exhibit, also showcasing students’ work connecting to the theme, will take place prior to the parade in Wentworth Atrium of LeChase Hall from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

Please consider showing your support by joining us for these fun events!
