Wednesday Lunch Talk - Lessons from the Trail: Transitioning from Activity to Advocacy

Wednesday, October 19, 2016
Noon - 12:50 pm
Genrich-Rusling Room, 215 LeChase

Nearly 7,000 miles of hiking and thirteen months later, Tyler Socash returned from the trail with blistered reflections and an inclination towards advocacy. With the trail behind him, Tyler wants to share his next great challenge of protecting the remaining wild spaces of New York State. Time to lace those boots "Ever Tighter!"

Presented by Tyler Socash  (B.S. '09, M.S. '15W). An experienced wilderness guide, former college admissions counselor, and certified k12 school counselor, Tyler just completed an unprecedented year of hiking, completing the Pacific Crest Trail, Te Araroa across New Zealand, and the Appalachian Trail.

A light lunch will be served. Food will be available at 11:45 am. Program starts promptly at noon.
