Coverage of East's New Teaching Garden
East’s first teaching garden is a community initiative that aims to improve overall heart health, reestablish what it means to be healthy, and provide a hands-on learning experience for East’s culinary students, who will be responsible for maintaining and caring for the 2,050-square-foot garden. The University is the Educational Partnership Organization (EPO) for East and has full management responsibilities for the school.
