Wednesday Lunch Hour - Mindfulness in the Classroom

Wednesday, February 10, 2016
Noon - 12:50 pm
Genrich-Rusling Room, LeChase 215

Mindfulness is beneficial to both students as well as instructors. This lunch talk will present techniques for practicing mindfulness in one's own personal life, as well as applications for use in the classroom, with students of all ages. Join us as we journey toward a more mindful lunch!

The talk will be presented by Sherry Nau, a licensed clinical social worker in private practice as an individual and family therapist. She has a graduate degree from Syracuse University, teaches as an adjunct professor at Keuka College, and is currently a doctoral student at the Warner School of Education studying the family transmission of trauma.

A lunch of stromboli and salad will be served. Food will be available at 11:45 am. The program will begin promptly at noon.
