Horizons at Warner Pollution Solutions Forum

Friday, August 7, 2015
10 to 11 a.m.
LeChase Hall, Wentworth Atrium
University of Rochester’s River Campus
A rain garden, vermicompost, wearable clothing made from recyclable materials, household items made of plarn (plastic yarn), plastic bottle recycling center, solar-powered ovens, wind turbines, and handmade paper are a few of the things keeping 135 Rochester city school students busy this summer as part of the Horizons at Warner summer enrichment program at the University of Rochester. Come learn about these environmental solutions and see what kindergarten through eighth grade students have come up with as part of this year’s pollution prevention theme.  The event is free and open to the public.
