Writing Workshop: Genres of Academic Writing

Friday, September 29, 2017
10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
LeChase Hall, Room 481

This session will provide an overview of the various genres of academic writing that students will be expected to read and to write as graduate students in the social sciences. Educational genres may be new to some graduate students. Understanding genre is a way to understand how texts function in terms of their audience, purpose, and forms.

Workshops are free and open to all members of the university. Preregistration is not required. For information on free, one-on-one writing consulting, go to: https://www.warner.rochester.edu/students/academics/writing/.
