Coursera—Vision and Insights

Faculty are invited to three online-learning symposia of the academic year. The first forum, “Coursera—Vision and Insights" on Tuesday, Oct. 21, will be led by Daphne Koller, Coursera president and cofounder, and Mark Zupan, professor of economics and public policy at the Simon School, who will share his experience with his own Coursera course. The second forum, "Vision and Directions of Online Learning in Higher Education" on Friday, Nov. 14, will feature Darcy Hardy, associate vice president at Blackboard. The third forum, "In Their Own Words—Online Learning Experiences from Professors and Students at the University of Rochester" is on Friday, Dec. 12. All three symposia will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Genrich Rusling Room, LeChase Hall, and lunch will be provided.
