EVENT: University of Rochester to Host East High School Vision Summit

East High School LogoWHO: The University of Rochester and East High School invites community members to attend an East High School Vision Summit, a public event that will help shape the future of this great school. The summit, intended for East High faculty and staff, and the students, families, and community it serves, will allow us to create a school that reflects the collective wisdom, skills, and talents of the entire East High community.
 
TIME, DATE, PLACE: 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, in the East High School Auditorium on 1801 E. Main Street
 
ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP: The University of Rochester, primarily through its Center for Professional Development and Education Reform at the Warner School of Education, is in the process of working with the New York State Education Department, the Rochester City School District, its collective bargaining units, and the East High School community to prepare a comprehensive proposal to serve as EPO (Educational Partner Organization) for East High School starting in the 2015-16 school year.

About the Warner School of Education
Founded in 1958, the University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education (www.warner.rochester.edu) offers master’s and doctoral degree programs in teaching and curriculum, school leadership, higher education, educational policy, counseling, human development, and health professions education. The Warner School of Education offers a new accelerated option for its EdD programs that allows eligible students to earn a doctorate in education in as few as three years part time while holding a professional job in the same field. The Warner School of Education is recognized both regionally and nationally for its tradition of preparing practitioners and researchers to become leaders and agents of change in schools, universities, and community agencies; generating and disseminating research; and actively participating in education reform.
