Please join us for the Institute for Innovative Transition’s 2014 Annual Institute. This year’s Institute, designed for parents, students, and professionals, will focus on inclusive higher education and transition and will feature a keynote address by Claire Bible and the general session, College and Career Readiness Resources for Students, by Lori Cooney. Claire Bible, a student teacher in the Waisman Early Childhood Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is an advocate, poet, and aspiring novelist. She has been an AmeriCorps member, a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) trainee, and currently serves on the Board for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (BPDD) and People First Wisconsin.

Lori Cooney is a project coordinator & universal instructional design specialist at Think College at the Institute for Community Inclusion, University of Massachusetts Boston. Lori has extensive experience in designing and delivering professional development for faculty and staff on instructional resources, universal design techniques, lesson plans and assessment strategies that meet the learning styles of all students. Lori has received a MassCUE Pathfinder Award, a Technology Humanist Award from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, is a STAR Discovery Educator, and is recognized as a Christa McAuliffe Teacher by the Challenger Learning Center at Framingham State University.
