Horizons at Warner: Enrichment Program for RCSD Students in Grades K-8 is a six-week, full-day summer enrichment program on the University of Rochester campus. Its primary focus is to engage K-8 Rochester City School District students in meaningful and authentic learning experiences in a non-traditional school setting.
We’ll take a look at the research on summer learning loss and share results from Warner at Horizons, with a look at its impact on school performance and attendance, development of social and interpersonal skills, and effect on children’s and parent’s educational expectations and aspirations.
Presented by Lynn Gatto, Executive Director of Horizons at Warner and newly appointed Assistant Professor and Director of Elementary Education.
