Pamela W. Kissel works with teachers seeking to become administrators and educational leaders in the administrative certification and master’s programs for educational leadership. She is a former superintendent of schools, assistant superintendent of instruction, high school and middle school principal, high school English teacher and adjunct at the Warner School.
As a school administrator, Kissel helped create and formalize alternative programs for “at-risk” students, including mentoring for students in need of support. She also infused restorative practices into daily student management interventions that augmented traditional discipline policies.
Kissel is also a certified trainer for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and consults with schools in the region regarding the educational implications of personality type. Her interests include the advancement of cultural competency in educational settings and the advancement of distributive leadership in educational organizations.
