Biography

Andrea Cutt has an extensive background in K-12 science teaching and learning and school- and district-level leadership. A veteran educator from the Rochester area, Cutt has been a high school science teacher, high school assistant principal, K-12 curriculum director, and most recently an elementary school principal.

Cutt has experience leading schools in curriculum and assessment design, district and school strategic planning, community outreach, and program evaluation. Her research interests are centered around the identity development of reform-minded teachers and administrators as well as improving student access to quality teaching and learning. 

At Warner, Cutt teaches courses in leadership and organizational dynamics, and curriculum and instructional leadership. She also serves as a university supervisor for educational leadership candidates when they are participating in their school and district leadership internships. Prior to joining the K-12 school leadership program, Cutt taught in the Warner School’s Get Real! Science teacher preparation program and coordinated the Science STARS inquiry afterschool club at East High School.
