ED407 Development, Learning, and Teaching for Children Ages 3 to 5

Provides an understanding of the developmental accomplishments of children from ages three to five and of the ways this development can be affected by a variety of factors, including individual and environmental variables and instruction. Considers the range of programs designed to serve preschoolers, the regulations that govern these programs, standards for accreditation, and ways to support parents of preschoolers. Examines issues of school readiness and expectation.
